What is a chatline?
Chatlines are the best places to meet singles in your area. Callers are able to meet great men and women without leaving home. There are millions of members and thousands are joining dailly.  


What must I do to get started?
When you order Custom Personals, you'll have access to our "Client Help" page which provides a link to our easy-to-follow manual.
The following must also apply:
• You must be legally able to conduct business in the US
• You must have a US checking account

Technical questions:

Do you know why I'm getting a busy signal?
A lot of components that make up a phone/data network has to work together. A problem can occur from the point at which your toll number is dialed to the point where it reaches our network. If you encounter a busy signal, contact Customer Service so they can help troubleshoot the problem. If Custom Personals is producing a busy signal, our technical staff will know about it right away. Our system is equipped with our very own monitering capability. All of our voice systems are checked to ensure that they are up and running 24/7.

How secure is it for me to store information on your computers?
Your data is stored on the same secure servers that we use to administer our business so we have an extra incentive to be sure that all information is highly protected. Our secure servers use advanced encryption and password protection. All storage equipment is monitored by our highly trained staff and all data on our servers is backed up every 15 minutes.

Where are all the servers and information stored?
All servers are stored in the best location and with the best amenities:

  • Carrier-class hosting facilities with customized design, expedient implementation, power and back-up power supplies, temperature and humidity controls and fire suppression systems
  • Large nationwide footprint with locations in prime metropolitan areas
  • 24x7 Technical Services available on a time-used basis to support our equipment
  • 24x7 onsite physical security, including security guards, motion detectors, security cameras, individually locking cabinets and cages and card-key access
  • 24x7 monitoring of systems and services
  • 24-hour access (with security escort where necessary)

All of your data (name, address, banking info. etc) is stored in a fast (replicated) database on our server. It is saved (real time) onto a second backup drive. Every 15 minutes, the data is saved to a text file on a third drive. Each night, the data is saved again to another hard drive on a different server. Finally, each week, all your information is transferred to DAT tape.

We've taken a number of precautions to ensure that your data is safe.


How often will I have to pay for software updates?

How does never sound?
That's the beauty of hosting Custom Personals on our own servers and linking it to your web site. We update the software for you automatically when new versions and features are available.

This means that you get all of the new features and updates FREE and don't have to install them yourself…we do it automatically for you.

How long does it take to activate Custom Personals?
Once you've ordered Custom Personals, you'll only be minutes away from a whole new income stream. Your login and client help information is e-mailed directly to you so that you can get started immediately. Our easy-to-follow instructions and manual will have you up and running in no time.

Can I upload my audio files?
Yes. Do the following to upload your audio files:
- Log into your Custom Personals account.
- Click the "Help" tab.
- Select "Custom Personals Manual".
- Locate "Audio Uploads" in the TOC (Table of Contents) and follow the instructions.

Payouts:

When will I receive my money?
When members purchase time on your service, funds are added to your online account. The funds are then paid to you ("payout") the following month.

For example, if you've earned funds from member purchases in November, the funds will be paid to you in December. Payouts are executed on the 24th of the month unless the 24th falls on a weekend or holiday in which case, the payout will be executed the next business day and will post to your checking account the business day thereafter.

How are payouts issued?
Funds are directly transfered to your bank account via ACH (direct deposit). ACH stands for Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network. The ACH Network is a highly reliable and efficient nationwide electronic funds transfer and clearing system.

The ACH Network serves 20,000 financial institutions, 3.5 million businesses, and 115 million individuals. Electronic payments of all kinds are used frequently by companies, institutions, government agencies and non-profit organizations as a safe, reliable and convenient way to conduct business.

Can you send me a check?
Yes. We can issue your payout via checks. However, please understand that payment by direct deposit (ACH) is preferred. A check fee applies for each check issuance.

Are there any hidden charges?
No. There are no hidden charges. You can log into your account and see what charges exists (Account > Package Details) and what they are for. You are responsible for paying your own taxes.  

Why do I need to provide tax ID/SSN, bank routing and account numbers?
You are required by law to provide your tax ID or SSN number unless we are deducting taxes from your payout (which is not the case). If you have a US checking account, you'll need to provide the account and routing numbers in order to be paid by Direct Deposit.
